Sustainable skincare

AuraMaye is a sustainable company, and that is not something you become overnight. We believe sustainability should be reflected in every aspect of our business.

For our skincare products, we choose only healthy, natural and cruelty-free ingredients. We aim to use packaging materials that cause as little harm as possible to people and the environment. In addition, we strive for efficient business processes so that the production and transport of our products place as little strain on the environment as possible.

No microplastics!

Many cosmetic products contain microplastics, mainly because they help creams spread more smoothly. The exact effects of microplastics on human health are still being extensively researched, but they have already been linked to disruptions of the hormonal and immune systems. In addition, microplastics may contain other harmful substances or carry bacteria, and they are undoubtedly harmful to the environment. Scientists therefore advise against the use of microplastics, and we prefer not to take any risks at all.

Our tinted moisturiser SPF30 contains no silicones, parabens or microplastics!

Transparency comes first

We believe it is important to be open and transparent with you. We are honest when we are not yet able to operate as sustainably as we would like. Sometimes this is simply not easy, feasible or affordable. We do not make empty claims or false promises. That is why we want our statements to be supported by certification.

We are working towards obtaining Pending B Corp and Zero Plastic certification.

Processes with minimal impact

We aim to minimise our CO2 emissions through efficient processes. Our tinted moisturiser SPF30 has been developed and produced by a laboratory in the Netherlands. We have our packaging manufactured in Italy. In this way, we reduce the distance our product needs to travel to reach consumers in the Netherlands.

We use PostNL to deliver our products to you. The sustainable business choices they make align with our vision.

Natural and cruelty-free skincare products

Natural ingredients

We use natural ingredients wherever possible. Our products are free from gluten, parabens, silicones, fragrance and microplastics.

Cruelty-free products

Our products are produced in a cruelty-free manner and contain no animal-derived ingredients. In our tinted moisturiser SPF30, for example, we have included organic UV filters with a low environmental impact.

Sustainable packaging

We use environmentally friendly packaging wherever possible to minimise our impact on the planet.

The tinted moisturiser SPF30 comes in a generous 50ml bottle. This is also a sustainable choice, as it lasts much longer than the more common 35ml size.

Contributing to a plastic-free world

Scientific research is increasingly showing how much damage plastic causes to nature and how significant the health risks are. Every hour, an amount of plastic ends up in the ocean that could fill 11 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Plastic pollution kills and harms marine life, which has negative consequences for both humans and animals.

We want to do our part in helping to prevent and combat these negative developments.

We do this, on the one hand, by producing as sustainably and plastic-free as possible, and on the other hand through an annual donation to two great initiatives.

Plastic Soup Foundation

The Plastic Soup Foundation aims to completely eliminate plastic from food, water and the air.
